Story
A Hong Kong Original, Re-established
dragon-i opened in 2002 as a restaurant serving Chinese classics, dim sum and Japanese favourites. It was a place to bring your parents, welcome overseas guests, and feel at ease in the heart of the city.
As the night moved forward, the room transformed into a destination for festive entertainment, music and late-night encounters. With a 250 standing capacity, dragon-i quickly became a rendezvous for Hong Kong’s sophisticated scene — a place built on culture, elevated hospitality and a wild yet caring soul.
Over the years, dragon-i welcomed iconic names across music and culture, including Roy Ayers, Chaka Khan, Jamiroquai, Louie Vega, Solomun, Luciano, Black Coffee, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Pharrell and Bruno Mars.
Two decades later,
the world has changed.
The city has shifted.
The soul remains.
The re-established dragon-i is a realignment with how people live, gather, listen and go out today. Our love for music and culture remains intact. We have simply re-innovated our offer and re-invented our space, so old friends and new friends can feel at home again.

Re-Imagining East-meets-West Design
Designed by London’s Pirajean Lees in an East-meets-West collaboration with local craftsmen, Bespoke Studio, and IJ Acuna. Enhanced by Isometrix’s lighting and Quest Plant’s greenery, the space feels familiar yet new—intimate, cinematic, and alive.
